Bolt is a Jamaican, sprinter who won gold medals in the 100-metre and 200-metre races in an unprecedented three straight Olympic Games and is widely considered the greatest sprinter of all time. The design could be printed on T-shirts, stickers, or bookmark to engage students and inspire them to do sports, I was intrigued to make my own brushes rather than using the default brushes in the software program. I made them using ink color, then I did many experiments to choose the brushes that represent his character. Helvetica was created by Swiss typeface designers, Max Miedinger and Eduard Hoffmann. My poem “Black Lives Matter” is mainly about the issue that happened in July, 2020. “They say that all lives matter, but in fact, nothing matters When he said I can’t breathe, no one hears, no one listens, no one cares I can’t BREATHE I need to breathe freedom I need to breathe Justice I need to breathe equality and equity I need to breathe love and empathy Black lives matter because the “land of the free” matters” I created this poster using this poem to promote diversity, equality, and inclusion, and to engage audiences with it to reach more people. I wanted to represent many different voices, so I wrote a DADA poem using all the dynamic qualities Filippo Marinetti used in his typographic poetry. I enlarged the letters where I needed people to care and repeated words in the background. I used vertical typography and trademark for the icon of black lives matter. I used red as a metaphor for violence. Moreover, I used the noose to indicate how this problem could choke the peace we have in our society. The Black word and the waves indicate their lives. I chose this background to indicate the duration of this issue. Going beyond the visual sense and thinking about smell, touching, and hearing was not a priority. I am glad that I did this experience and gained these new skills. Cafe Diem is located in downtown Ames on Main Street. After revisiting Cafe Diem, I found that the location has distinguished it. It is close to many vital places in the city. The interior design for the place leans toward the country style, aesthetic, casual, and cozy decorating style, which eludes the feeling of simple country life. That makes people feel at home, and everything comes from nature. I liked that idea and want to strengthen it and make it clear and simple. That makes customers feel that everything is coming from nature and that this is a cozy place that feels like home. It is also important to provide visitors with various types of seats. I wondered what would make people risk the lives of their children in a dubious situation in which they know that many people have and will perish. It is useful for people to see the contrast of two ways of being in the same place, side by side, to realize the scope of the problem. This gave me the idea of creating the exhibtion to allow people to feel and understand the problem and interact with it.
